Victor Hugo once said, “Tomorrow, if all literature was to be destroyed and it was left to me to retain one work only, I should save Job.”  Daniel Webster pointed out that if only taken as a mere work of literary genius, it is one of the most wonderful productions of any age or of any language.”  It is a masterpiece of literature, even for the non-Judeo Christian mind. The Apostle James asks us to consider Job’s life in the light of the Godly patience at work in us.
